The sessions are nourishing and nurturing.  They have been so beneficial and helped my sleep.  They feel healing and I’ve felt tingling throughout my body afterwards.  I like the pace, which uses the right amount of effort and strength.  I’ve been to other yoga teachers but I really like this and have gone into postures I hadn’t been able to do with ease before.  In other yoga classes, I’d felt too tense to be able to fully breathe but this style has helped me to breathe fully.  I love the harp – sometimes I’ve felt emotional and other times I’ve seen different colours or beautiful images from nature.  The Emerald Alignment is really good and has helped relieve discomfort.  My body has felt better, more relaxed, light and free after sessions – as if I’ve been floating.

It has really helped my focus with attention deficit.  The yoga works because of focussing on doing the postures and the music is very relaxing.  The Emerald Alignment really helps keep my focus on something and not drifting.  All of the sessions we have done have really helped.

Rebecca was required to tailor and adjust the yoga postures for my sessions because I have severe arthritis in the hips and pelvis.  Her support and encouragement during the gentle stretching exercises facilitated movement and eased my discomfort, as well as strengthening my upper body.  I had not experienced yoga before and I have felt the benefit and healing on all levels.

I’d been avoiding doing things that might cause discomfort in the painful area.  I wouldn’t have felt confident to do any movement on my own and it was good to do with someone who knows about appropriate movement.  I feel more confident about doing things with that area now.  I got a feeling of gaining more space in my body.  I saw imagery during the harp music, which helped with relaxing.
